After waiting for over 20 years to find anothe gold ring, it finally happened today about 2 O'clock this afternoon. I decided to get out of the house today and see if I could find a Silver coin or two in my local Park. Now this park has been hunted for over 40 years to death. So I have been concentrating my efforts on the old trails that go in and out of the woods and hills of this old park. I started down one old path that I have never hunted before and dug up a 1920-D Mercury Dime. That will work! I just gave my Explorer II a little kiss for that one. I hunted the path out and found two clad dimes and 5 Lincoln's. I crossed the little creek that bordered the path and found another path on the other side and started following it in the opposite direction. The first signal turned out to be a broken key, then a 1940-S Wheat Cent showed it;s face. That put another smile on my face. just about ten feet down the path and at the left edge i got a good signal, 07-27 on the meter a good possible coin signal. Out of the ground rolls a huge gold ring with a red stone, I was Shocked to see this find. It turned out to be a local High School Class Ring from 1988. This has to be a size 11-12. 0.6 Ounces or 1.6 grames of gold. Well, I am on cloud nine tonight. Me, a Person Who has found 8 Gold coins in the flas almost 40 years of swinging a Metal Detector, getting so Hipped about a gold Class Ring! Oh well, I had a great day. HH...Jesse.
