First gold found!

I was detecting with my cibola in a field near my grandmothers house when I got a good solid signal. Thought it was a coin, but then I saw yellow & got excited. It was a 14k gold wedding band. First gold I'v ever found. I'v only been detecting for a couple of months now & I'm addicted!
 
Finding a ring is always nice , finding a gold ring is very nice :thumbup:
I find the gold rings come in phases , like i might find 2 gold rings in a week then no more for 2 years!
 
Way to go .. It sure is heart pounding when you see your first gold. You will find more. great job and it sure looks nice... KEN
 
Yeah, sweet! Your a goner now. It's way addicting. We all remember our first gold find. One thing that I learned is that lower expectations equal more fun.

Thats awesome!! Your hooked now!! I started out very much the same way. I bought my first detector (also a Tesoro) quite a few years back. Only the second time out with it (which was in my own yard) I hit a very solid signal and dug............10K gold ring!!!!! I had only learned how to make the most basic adjustments to the detector at that point. What a feeling...............this is an awesome hobby:detecting: Just remember...........doesn't happen like that every time......LOL
 
Congratulations on your gold!!! I have 14 gold rings on the year all found with my Tesoros.I see many more in your future.
 
Look at that GOLD shine!!! Congrats! Yeah same here. Once I found my 14k yellow gold band, it got hooked too!! :clapping:

Yeah, gold kinda makes you go out and do crazy stuff. Like buy a detector if your borrowing one. I too was lead down that path two years ago when I found gold at the beach with my bosses DFX. You can't beat that for capping off fun. Congrats on your ring hopefully you'll find more weather permitting! George I
 
I found my fist GOLD a couple of months ago too!!! It is such a rush for sure!!

Awesome find! Congrats on your 1st gold ring!

I just found my 1st the day before thanksgiving, and I DID give thanks! I haven't even got it postedyet but it was only 10k with blackhills gold leaf's.not a big one like yours, very nice! I was so expecting just to see another pulltab, makes for a nice surprise huh!
 
How many tabs did you have to dig to find that ? I did not get a gold ring this year and probably dug close to a thousand tabs.
