First Gold Ring With New ATPRO

Waterman

Member
I purchased an ATPRO last Monday and with the help of John Bortscher and Rich Hirschmiller I set it up in the Pro Mode, zero, iron Discriminate at 27 and began hunting, the 1st day resulted in a 1978 silver class ring, 2nd day a gold coloured ring which turned out to be junk but the 4th day resulted in this 22K Gold ring with 50 small diamonds, it came in as a strong 63 signal in ankle deep water one scoop deep. It weighs in at 4.3 dwt approx. $252.00 gold value, but my wife Mary claimed it.

Was that fresh or saltwater? I ask because I haven't used the at in saltwater and hope to soon.

It seems we all suffer from the same thing,it's called confiscation ,according to them they have right to have first pick to all finds.lets look at it this way,it's a small price to pay to be able to enjoy our hobby in peace.
