First Hunt in 3 Months

It's been so hot and dry here in Middle Tennesse I have not hunted since May. Got out today at my 1900's permission sites. No luck finding old silver, but I did find what I think is an old horse harness buckle with a patent date of December 16, 1879, and a what is it find. On the "what is it find" it has two set of numbers on the bottom. 180 and 208. I'm thinking it may be a weight for a scale.

Well 208 is Idaho’s Area Code…… I’ll be quiet now.
Neat find on the buckle, dont see pat dates all that often on them.
