First hunt in Florida

Ive been in Fla for a couple of days now and finally got out to hunt a vacant lot in Avon Park. Found about $3 in change, a hand full of wheats and a couple of neat items. An old Lazell rough box and a 1903 to 1933 Ford thirty year coin.

Found out a little more on my Ford coin... seems it was produced for the 1933 chicago fair year of progress. Might be a little rare... about $50 on Ebay. I cant find out too much about the Lazelle rouge box. Apparently, it was produced by Lazelle Dalley Co of NY between the year 1870 to 1923 before they was bought out. Their stuff seemed very ornate... this isnt. Just the name Lazelle at the clasp and a small circle with a chain of dimond imblems on it. They made mostly perfume. Not a bad start.

We were traveling full time, but bought a house in Indiana because of the great deal. We are here in Fla just because we dont like the COLD. Also, my brother-in-law bought a house in Avon and we are helping him remodel like he did us. So im going to get in some hunting when he doesnt have much for us to do. After we are done we will bounce around a bit before going back to IN in the spring.

Yes we were traveling in an RV for the past 5 years. Good one Sangamon... didnt know you took those at the church. Boy thats one ugly mug. Hope the weather is treating you ok.
