First hunt with HF coil and CDs Pitch Program

Today I hit the homestead where I recovered the Eagle "I" coat button. I used my new to me 9" HF coil (thanks, Gene!) and hunted with Calabash's Pitch program in 28 kHz the whole three hours. Awesome! I also looked for my Oakley sunglasses that I lost there on Sunday but they were not to be found :angry:. Unfortunately, they may wind up being a sacrifice to the detecting gods. Found the usual "underwear buttons, .45 rim fire colt shells, etc. and this...

It says, "Cross of the Legion of Honor". I'm gonna have to research it. It still has gold gilt and is in a ketchup bath for the night.
