First hunt with new Omega

I finally got the chance to get out and hunt with my new Omega today must say I really like having the tones to go along with the TID/VDI information. Spent about 4 1/2 hrs at a school I've been hunting hunting the last couple of months my settings were disc at 20 sens at 60 (if I went any higher I had problems with EMI) gb at 53-55 in one part of the school ground and 60 in the other part I hunted. Ended the day with $3.92, 2 rings, 3 buttons, cheap braclet/necklace toggle clasp, round necklace pendant with one its stones, 3 whatzits, and a silver necklace pendant (writing on it said: The 1988 American Eagle 5gr .999 fine silver) had my best day finding nickles with a total of 6 usually only find 2 or 3.

That was a good hunt. I like finding silver.

Congrats on the finds today! That Omega is gonna keep a smile on your face!

The last few days all I've lucked upon were a couple of smaller silver rings. No silver coins, but we haven't had much decent weather yet to get out. I have found, using the Omega, that my US 5

I spent all day using the d4 tones as I wanted to see how well I was going to like them (have only used mono tone up till now) occassionally I would turn the disc setting all the way up then notch in nickles I like how that worked also. On probably 98% of the targets I dug yesterday I was able to use my pro pointer on the surface to pinpoint the target before I even started to dig a hole (glad I was able to also, the Omega PP's a lot different from my Tesoros still trying to get the center point figured out). Is there that much depth loss between using the d1/d2 tones and the d3/d4? To be honest I figured I'd still be able to get down to at least 7" using the d4 tone, I havent tried to do an air test to much EMI here around the house, but then I never did an air test with either of my other detectors either (well I did do one with the DeLeon before I traded it just so I would be able to compare the Omega to it when and if I ever try to do an air test with it).
