I picked up a Sunray X5 coil over the winter and finally got a chance to throw it on. I returned to a super trashy picnic area where I got an SLQ the time before. The trash is too much even for my 8x6 SEF but the X5 had no problem sifting through it. Very nice coil, but very tiny lol. As a buddy on YouTube mentioned on the video it's like "rowing a boat with a spoon". But it is very small and definitely has it's place in the arsenal. It's small enough that I can keep it in my detecting gear backpack all the time and always have it available if needed. My other reason for buying it is to take it to the local fairgrounds that have been around since 1860's. I tried the 8x6 there as well and only found 1 wheat penny (1910). It's like low-tone h#ll there. I didn't get any silver in the picnic area but the X5 definitely proved itself to me in trash. The wheats are across the top of the pic. Everything in the picture was out of the trash.
