First hunt with the E-Track

Scortch

New member
Hey all, this is my first post to this section as I have been using mt Whites V3i for the last year. I have to say the e-track is a far More intuitive machine to use. I had been detecting with a friend who has an e-track and he consistently out performed my v3i on the deep coins. I had to get my hands on an e-track, so I purchased a new one last week. I still think my Whites is a good machine but for coins the e-track has no equal. After practicing with the new e-track and reading Sabisch's book, I decided to hunt an area I had been over with my v3i. Having found some coins last year with the whites I figured I might pick up a coin or two, wow was I wrong. 1 standing quarter 3 mercs 2 war nickles, a load of Wheaties, an old button, a rosie, a nice key, and a zinc WWII jap coin. Most of the finds were between 6 to 9 inches, and I was running the stock out of the box program. I really enjoy this machine, I can't wait to dial it in. Sorry about the quality of the pics, I had to use my cell phone as my camera was out of juice. The Japanese coin is hard to make out in the photo, you can just see the eagle if you squint. Took me several hours of searching the net to figure out what it was as I have never seen one before.
Thanks for letting me share!

That was one heck of a first time hunt with an amazing machine. Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on the finds. -- Randy

I also switched to the Dark Side some few years ago and still use a Whites XLT on some occasions, or at least I say I do but cant remember when the last time was. Stick to it and your going to love thet dark power of the Force!

Excellent finds Scortch, I too used the V-3i for a year, bought the E and sold the V. I love my E and it looks like you do as well.
