First Hunt with X50

ricstone

New member
Went this morning to the local park my wife an i have hunted to death with the Aces. Found 21 coins all clad in about 2 hours. Very impressed with the X50. It was deeper an a lot more sensitive than the ace. The TID was right on an the dept was close. I think im going to really like this machine. Any one have a cheet sheet on TID numbers for junk. But in time i will know these. I think i done good on this one. HH

Good to hear you liked it. Junk always came in all over the place on my 50. Negatives were always junk . I liked hunting in all metal 4 tones . If it gave a high tone with other tones , I knew there was something in there besides iron. sometimes it turned out to be coins and sometimes not. Alot of the coins I dug with it were bouncy , mostly because there was trash near by. You might want to get a 6 inch coil as that little coil has found me many coins that my stock coil missed. I liked the 50 so much I bought me a used 70 .

don't know about a cheat sheet, the TDI on my 705 has been telling me this. 13 is usually foil, 10 to 12 pull-tabs, 20 to 22 ( nickles ring in this area as well) usually bottle caps. Around tennis courts the tops of tennis ball cans ring in at 30 or 36 but so do pennies(30 to 32) and dimes (always 36). negative numbers are junk. REMEMBER what digger always says.... you have to dig them all!!!!! because you never really know.

If you look at the top of the threads, yoiu will see a Frequently asked questions post ( FAQ ).
There is an abundance of information including Target ID charts on the X-Terra line of detectors.
