Use the CS7 this week for total of 6 hours. First PI I've used and appears to be a very easy machine to use. Only went knee deep with up here in Connecticut as water is still very cold at the ocean, and frozen at the lakes. Found a nice collection of clad coins, fish hooks, belt buckles, silver fork, bunch of brass items, and a few ornamental buttons. There seem to be a lot of sand and not a lot of targets. I guess we need a storm up this way again to mix it up some and get some of the deep sand off the beach. I enjoyed the machine. Seems well balanced, nice looking unit for sure, well built. My only wants for it would be a coil cover and rechargeable battery pack. Battery pack I can make myself if need be.
I got it from Eastern Detector Sales, really nice place to do busniess with. Let me try it out for a week and would have longer if I needed it,and very informative on the use of the detector. IF your looking for good prices on a detector, contact Ed Grella at easterndetector@hotmail.com
Most of my hunting is done in fresh water ponds/lakes and rivers and I'm hoping the CS7 will get me those targets at that extra depth. My test gold target, a very find ring it finds no problem at decent depths, so when weather breaks, my expectations are high. That now brings the detector arsenal to 6. That should cover all the different types of hunting I do. But, then again, I need one for each day of the week so probally get another one anyhow. I guess if I had to ask for anything on the machine it would be to have different tones for different metals while leaving it set in the high, far right position. Gotta say , its developing digging muscles I never knew I had. LOL. I enjoyed reading this forum and Erics
other forum and it gave me enough information to make my choice of getting a PI. Don't think I'd like all that digging in the dirt, but at the beach, no problem at all. Well, one problem, had to get me a Sunspot scoop so I could get to those deep targets. HH George-CT
