First impressions of the new 15" coil.

Seems to be very well constructed. Not thrilled about the white color (Black suits me much better) but it is what it is..............
It IS a bit heavier than the stock 11" coil. the stock coil weighed in at 14.5 ounces on my digital scale.........and the new 15" round DD weighed in at a hefty 1 pound.........14.3 ounces.............without the coil cover. It very stout and stiff...so should be a good stable reliable coil. Havent even had it on the machine yet...but should be able to hit the old test garden maybe tomorrow......and (weather permitting) might travel up to my favorite site thurs for a good field evaluation. Stay tuned.....................

Looks like a steering wheel. Everybody will be interested in its performance. Im going to order one pending results. Hope its a winner.

Looks like a great relic hunting accessory, but I'm not crazy about white either.......gonna get dirty in a hurry.

Spray paint it black.

You could probably use some vinyl dye (like they used back in the day to change the color of vinyl car interiors) to make it black (spray paint will chip off).

Thanks for the input on the coil . If you can check the depth reading against stock coil to see if thy drift or not .
