first jewelry find with 705/10" down

had a few hours after work...hit a church for a little practice,found some coins as it was getting dark ...but kept going because i wanted to use the back light/ haven't cleaned it up yet/weighs 44.1 grams/no hallmark but looks silver...at 10" down its been there for sometime.came up a 12 on the TID...using the 5x10 dd 18.75,,i like it

its not gold or silver,after i cleaned it up found the name Napier on the clasp,they make vintage jewelry,alot of gold tone and silver plated Pisces..oh well..on to the next find.

At 44 grams think about having it checked anyway. looks a bit heavy for base metal.

At 10" down and no corrosion, it has to be made of something decent.

Consider also that silver was less than a $1 an oz up until the 1960s. A lot of costume or modest jewelry was made of silver.
FuriousT makes a good point. I'd like to know what it is made of.

I really appreciate all the comments and interest on this bracket i dug up...Iam sure after closer examination that its
not silver(definitely not gold)there website has lots vintage looking brackets from $20 to $200 dollars..and there
is some corrosion and expansion in one corner.BUT i did get out before the rain this morning to a large sport/recreational complex and dug up this silver ring and some change. The city was digging (has been for a week/wish i had known)new drainage lines across the Field to the lake.they had already layed more than 3/4 of sod so i could only detect a small area.This Field is a large parking area for major events including spring training .I will go back this weekend /if i hit any targets i can still lift the sod out of the way for easier digging.
