First meager finds of 2006

Ed (Upstate NY)

Active member
The mild January has kept most areas frost free and we've actually been able to detect for the last couple of weeks here in Upstate NY. Very unusual to be metal detecting this time of year up here. I was able to find the 1876 and 1880 something Indian head cents and the 1943-P war nickel today at one of our hunted out parks and dug the wasted 1863 Benjamin & Herrick Fruit Dealers Albany NY civil war token at the same park last weekend.

Hey Ed!!

Good to see you're doing OK up there! Been beautiful down here where I live, and I've had the good fortune to find quite a bit already this year.

Nice finds and hopefully the weather will continue to cooperate. Maybe we'll get to hook up this year!

Take care,

Jeff

Very nice Ed. Too bad the war token wasn't in better shape, but at least you dug it up before mother nature destroyed it completely. HH.
