First outing for the new season!

Hi all :)

The spring is finally reaching the Nordic countries too! The snow is melting slowly and I was glad when I spotted a snow free spot on the snow depth maps. I had to drive an hour to get to get there but it was worth it. This was my first session since January and snowfall.

This is what the F5 produced. A total of 10 euros (13,30 USD) and one sterling silver ring from the first swimming hole and another 8 euros (not in picture) from another swimming hole. Not bad for a season first :)

HH,

You lucky detectorists have euro's. That is a good amount of money. If I get $5.00 in U.S. coingage in a single day, I consider that exceptional. Hardly ever happens.

Yeah, that is true. I feel sad for you guys with your current coinage :( When euro was adopted the amount of coins in your pocket doubled so there is a lot of money to be lost. I have a bit over 3500 euro coins so far and the average per coin is 38 euro cents which is about 50 US cents. That kind of average does accumulate lots of money. My best session so far is 63 euros in three hours from a rock festival beer tent area.

That is a good first hunt for the season.

How long have you been checking the snow maps before you found a clear spot?

I find a Euro over here every now and then.
