There have been a bunch of recent posts on early tests of the T-2 but one important area needs to be adressed. How does it handle iron masking of nearby targets compared to old standbys like the 1236 or the ED-120 Tesoros?Good discrimination is fine but we want it to pick out the good stuff next to the iron or below it.Early reports say it has a very fast response time so I`m very hopefull.

I don't own the 1236 but I have a T2 along with both Omegas, a Deus, Impact, Racer 2 and more but when I have to go into bad iron areas, I take a ED-120 Tesoro. The T2 is deeper and faster, separates well, and, with the 5" coil, very effective in iron but not like the Tesoros. That is my opinion, for what it's worth.
