Got out to my kids elementary school for a couple hours today with my G2 (thank you Bart). It is about as old as the local parks but I find it a lot less trashy. I dug more than a dozen memorial cents, clad dime, quarter, and a few nickels. One of the nickels, with a magnifying glass(and my sons 10 year old eyes)appears to be a 1938, making it my oldest coin yet. With the gain at 100 and GB at 80, I almost did'nt dig the ring since it came up at 77 and I was tired of digging penny's. It was 4" deep and I think it's gold plated since the band is brown at the bottom. And you can see that it's flaking on the inside. I believe the opal is real but not sure about the diamonds on either side, either way I was very excited.
