Got out today with 54shooter to a local school. Was the first warm day in several weeks, finally! Hit the Football field and go plenty of clad as usual for a School field. Also picked up four wheaties, a 1939 S, a 1945, 1947, and a 194_. The ground made toast of the wheaties, but the prize for the day was my first Mercury Dime of the year and first silver for 2014, a 1945. Came out at about 9" using the XP Deus and my new 11" coil. Thanks 54shooter for a great hunt and look forward to many more. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting in the new year.

First Silver for 2014 and a new MD friend

I had a great time today Mike. Hunting with a new friend and the nice warm weather was a real treat! I'm looking forward to more great hunts and learning from a real veteran detectorist. With learning better technique and understanding of how things work I'm sure I'll get my E-Trac singing out the silver! Congrats on the silver and wheaties and I'll see ya next time!!
