First silver of 012

Got out for about two hours this morning and hunted in rain showers, had a good hunt . First find was a wheatie then came two mercs and a wheatie in same hole then the 1940 big penny, and four more wheatie'sthe last find was a1923 merc. My hunt buddy also came away with two mercs a rosie and a wheatie. It was worth getting a little wet had a great morning.

Hey Garry, I've never even heard of a "big penny" before. I'll have to look that up.

Nice. the " big penny" is an english penny. I found one dated 1900 in a park that is only 30 years old. I'm sure a kid dropped it, there was a sundry store sold coins around the corner. It's a big impressive coin with a classical gal holding a tall trident.

Wow! Those are some very impressive finds you got there. That sure would make my day, for sure.

Do you mind telling us what you were swinging, how deep and what settings you were using.
