Finally got to break out my new E-trac and I am really liking it so far. Went for a couple hours to my local park Monday morning and got a wheatie and a musket ball. Spent yesterday hunting with Ray-mo to get a few pointers and was able to dig a nice key date 1896-O Barber dime, a crudded 1897 Injun, and several wheats.

I think I am going to get along with this machine really well. Stability is awesome and I seem to be chasing a lot less deep iron so far compared to my SE Pro. Still have a lot to learn and hopefully will have more finds to show soon.

Will be getting some video footage this year of some hunts out soon too.

Very nice finds, Dr. Bob. I received an E-trac for Christmas from my dear wife and am now, because of your post, particularly anxious to try it out. But guess where I live; MN. 15 inches of snow on the ground and frozen very solid. Anyway, thanks for posting and for the encouragement.

Doug

I just punked Guvner on the contest forum in the jacket post....so go check out my response to him when you get time. :bouncy: He just won't let up...so I had to pop him in the jib.

Yeah, I sit here in MN too, staring out at the frozen tundra. I'm also pondering a move to the E-Trac from the SE "just 'cause" (that's what happens when you can't get out to hunt, and have time to think of such things...)

Congrats again Cuz! I still don't know if you can pull me away from my EXII though. I guess were gonna have to find out this season.

By the way guys...add me to that list of cabin fever Minnesotans. Although, the only way I don't go stir crazy is to search for the St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion during the winter. It's the only good thing about winter here in MN, it's all about the hunt...then again the prize of 10 thousand clams doesn't hurt either. hehehe

Thanks guys. And don't worry cuz, you and Doug will get your time to hunt by mid-June or so  I have no idea how y'all stand it up there although it is a beautiful place in the summer.

And Bryce, loved the reply to Guv, great one. You might want to check out mine to his about you:surprised: LOL

Good finds.

I have an V3 that I haven't used yet. I'm seriously considering selling it and getting an E-Trak.

Thanks IDig, the e-trac is great.

Ray-mo, the e-trac forum moderator, had both the e-trac and v3. He has since sold the v3, but will not part with his e-trac.
