Got out on a one-hour hunt before work this morning, to a park where a medieval fair was recently held. I went by the fair, partially out of curiousity to see if there would be any obvious places to hunt once they left. There were several booths that were selling jewelry, and lots of people, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I found a bunch of clad, and strangely, an Australian coin that has a "2" on one side, and a date (19-seventy something) on the other side -- along with "Queen Elizabeth" and some other wording; it had a copper piece of wire soldered to one side, so I need to get the solder clump off to read the rest of the coin. I think it's a 2 cent coin. Anyway, just before I had to leave, I must have stumbled upon the location of one of the jewelry booths/tents that was set up, because I found a .925 silver ring with what appears to be an onyx, about a half inch into the dirt -- still with a price tag on it (48 dollars). Rang up 01/28-ish on the SE Pro...I was thinking maybe a clad quarter before I dug it, but it's a ladies size 6. Will try to get a pic posted.
Anyway, I got the SE Pro to help me find silver, and after about a half dozen hours on the machine, it has produced!
