went to a little parklet near my house I have been working and managed to get my first silvers for the year, plus a couple wheats and an Uncle Sam Play Dime, which I thought for a second was a Trime ... lol

parts of the parklet is froze but the south side was thawed out ... the Merc was in semi froze ground ... Thanks

Congrats! :clapping:

Digging anywhere here is going to be nothing more than a pipe dream for a couple of months yet. The "up side" is that there will also be fewer bugs this next summer.

Lucky! It was in the mid 40s here for several days. Got the itch and took the 705 out. Should'a stayed home. Bent my new stainless steel plug digger. Bah!

congrats on the silver

Nice recovery and congrats. We just had our coldest weather this week with our coldest morning since late last year....It was 38 this morning, but should reach 70+ this afternoon.
Stay warm All.

Thanks Guys, looks like I'm done here for a good while it's froze pretty good with no sign of a warm up for anytime soon

That's a good day of hunting, congrats! We're froze out here in Pittsburgh and it looks like we will be for a while. Nice silver half, that's not an every day find for sure!

got up this morning and it was 45 and they are calling for 3-6" of snow tomorrow so off I went back to the little parklet. There was still a lot of frozen ground but that one side it still pretty thawed or just a little frost on top. managed to find 15 memorials, 1 clad quarter, two dimes and a nickel with 4 wheats 44,45,48,52 and a 51 Rosie

here is a little group shot of a few of the finds this year from this little parklet . a makeup compact, don't have a clue about the shoe thing, 9 wheats, 41 Merc, 51 Rosie and the 40% 69 half. Guess it's going to be a while before it's workable again

I've been told the shoe thing is an old printing press block ... I knew it was cool but had no idea what it was

Pretty cool finds. That shoe block is pretty interesting.
