First Tesoro

I just received my first Tesoro today, a Mojave. I took it out in my backyard and to an old home site; maybe an hour of use. So far I really like it. I've been wanting a Tesoro for years now so I'm happy to have finally gotten one. Now I just need to find some gold to pay for it:biggrin:

Well it's a great detector for both beginner and seasoned.
Can't beat the price. Also can't beat a turn on and go with bad ground capabilities with that ground switch.
At my place I can run on low but it's good to know if you run into bad ground you have the choice.
If you need to use the ground switch on the Mojave, that means every other turn on and go without GB adjust wouldn't run well there.
Good choice. And I see many happy days ahead.
At that price, it won't be long before it pays for itself. Even on clad, it adds up.

Gratz on a great machine. Not sure what other machines you are used to, but Tesoro means treasure and get ready to find some. The beautiful thing about Tesoros is they are simple to use, have great performance and just seem to find treasure of all types. The Mojave as far as I'm concerned is probably there best machine in the 1 to 7 inch range. It's seperation in trash is at the top of their line. Set your disc circuit to just disc out a square nail and dig the rest until you get used to the sounds. It won't be long and you will be able to distinguish what's under the coil. Let us know how you are doing and share your finds and stories.

the last detector I bought is about as unlike a Tesoro as they get. I wanted a Tesoro for use in some iron infested site, and in the hour I used it I found some things I missed. Just enough to get me excited. I also think in some siter my tid detectors talk me out of digging things i should be digging. I was going to get an Outlaw, but for half the price I decided the Mojave had everything I needed. The ground balance knob on the Outlaw would have been nice, but I think the switch on the Mojave will do just fine in my area. And I didn't need the all metal mode because I would be using a different detector if an all metal mode was required to get deep targets.

Well we all started somewhere Seth....
Haha

Are you saying all my tid machines are no good? Because I see a few in your signature :)

No. Just with Tesoro.
