First time back out this year with the Deus and boy it was a good one. Sporting the 11" coil this year up from 9" previously and boy what a great coil. I went back to the old school stomping grounds I beat the heck out of last year and came out with some silver and some wheaties! I didn't miss a beat from last year the Deus language still burned into my brain. Difference this year is after a first hour I started recognizing good deeper signals as I was always iffy before. Something about how they sounded said dig. My deepest targets were the wheat pennies. I dug one out that was the exact length of the garret pro pointer and it sounded good!! I had to dig deep so much today my hands hurt. I am really impressed with the 11" coil and I could swing it all day.
I was only out three hours but boy I still love swinging the Deus. I was just using a modified Deus fast program. All in all I got
2 silvers - one 63 dime and a breast cancer .925 ribbon
5 - Wheat pennies pretty corroded but all of them where over 6" deep.
$1.36 in clad and what looks like a carburetor choke or something.
Swinging in the snow here in Michigan today. Ridiculous.
