First time out for 2010 with new machine, one kids ring, 1881 small cent, 1928 buffalo nickel,1944 mercury dime, 1963 rose. dime, 11 wheat cents, two junk earrings, and 4.75 in clad. Oh, about 60 pieces of steel, lol. tide was up so i did not get in the water with it so all i worked was the wet sand slops.I used only the standard mode with the elimination knob on 3 just to not pick up the foil, but i was still finding nickels at 15+ inches.I still have a lot to learn about this machine, but thanks to all that answered me for help,it gave me a head start. What i loved most of all about having a water machine, is that i now have the freedom to search anywhere on the beach i want, not just the dry sand.(Almost forgot,)i dig everything when learning a new machine and good thing, because i also found my first steel war nickel.I wonder how many of those i have missed over the years.
