First Time Use of the 705

Took it down to Galveston and hunted the beach. Found a bunch of aluminum while working and learning the new detector. I am impressed so far.
 
Do you, or did you have an X T 70. If so, would be interested to see an objective comparison. All the best, Sapper.

That's ok, good luck with the 705. Dont think you can go far wrong with it...very handy machine on the beach (just going on my experience with the 70) Good luck, Sapper
 
Since you get down to the Galveston Area, you might try getting access to some of the areas near Sabine Pass if you are interested in civil war artifacts. I personally haven't had a chance to get there, but have heard others have been lucky.
 
That would be cool. I fish Sabine sometimes. Where would you go that allows detecting? Where are you located?
