First two hunts with my Minelab SE

Hello Guys,

I just purchased an SE and have gone out twice now with it. Each day I hunted for around 4 hours. I didn't find any silver this time out but feel it won't be long. I had a Whites XLT that I used prior to this machine. I know it will take some getting use to but I think I'm up for the challenge. I was also wonder if any of you knew what one item I found may be it says "Credit Swish on it and has 10gr and says "9999" It looks like it may have come off of something, because it has a place in the center on the back. You can't read it in the photo but its on the bottom right. Any advice on the machine would be very much appreciated.

Having come from an XLT years ago also, my best advice is that with the Explorer you need to really slow down. Where with the XLT you could swing fast & move quickly, the Explorer need a snails crawl to pick out the deeper targets. Listen to the sounds, what you want is a "flutey" signal (switching to Ferrous from Conductive in the menu will help). Don't be afraid to dig everything at first since it will help you determine sound/target relationship.

Sounds like it's gold bullion.

We used to sell them in the jewelry store in pendants. There would have been a bezel and bale to put on a chain to wear as a pendant. So it looks like to me you found the bar but not the bezel.
