First US dollar coin this year

2000 Sacajawea US golden dollar although not so golden now after spending who knows how long in some heavily fertilized ground. The cross is not silver....probably aluminum. I was using my V3i and SEF 10x12. Most of the coins were deep. One of the dimes was 8+".

Hey wasp, that's a GOOD haul! I'd sure rather dig a dollar coin than 100 crusty memorials. That's a lot easier on the back! Best of luck and...

You betcha, BS. Much easier on the back. I try to leave those old crusty memorials in the ground but can't seem to resist digging them to see if that's really what it is.
