Well I've been in this hobby for about a year and a half now and I've found barber quarters, barber dimes, seated quarters, seated dimes, seated half dimes, capped bust half dime, large cents, reale, king georges, v nickel, injuns, wheats, silver rosies, canadian largies etc. etc., but the half dollar has eluded me until now. I know it's not that old but it sure was nice to get it off my list. My buddy I detect with found 3 of these in one week and I've been waiting, he kept saying I'd find one soon enough and here it is.
 
Good for you Fog, nice half, thats one I'd like to find. The closest I come to that is a 1919 standing liberty right in my own yard. Looks like you found quite a variety of different coins, a sign of a true marksman with the machine. Keep up the good finds. Ron

Very nice!! I have yet to find a Walker myself. But I do know from finding a Franklin half that it's quite a feeling to pull big silver out of the ground with the Safari! Congrats!

Nice i havnt gotten any older coins yet. But now suspect why i had my Quattro set on auto sensitivity wich only gives you about 4 to5 inches on a plug. After setting it to 12 im getten like 8 to 10 inches easy .Now i should start hitten some older coins.
 
Thanks folks. As you all already know it's a lot of work hunting old coins, research and tons of walking. Some times you spend 6 hours in the woods and dig 4 holes and find nothing. The ticks aren't bad right now but the ivy always is.
 
Frog
I found my first and only Walker just last weekend. It was a 1933s, but not in as good of condition as yours. Frog that Walker looks to be in very good condition, great find. Can you tell us where you found her and how deep? I sure know that feeling when it pops out for you. Again a great find. Bill
 
Found in Massachusetts at an old boy scout camp from the 30's. The camp is now defunct and heavily overgrown, the old run down cabins are still there and collapsing. I actually kicked the coin out of the ground as I was convinced it was a can! It rang 38 very loud as it was only 1" below the surface. It was my first hunt there, my buddy has swung the crap out of the area and has pulled counteless mercs and some injuns. It was an afterthought to go there in the first place after coming up empty yet again at a cellar hole. We drove 180 miles round trip this past Sat to a very remote area. A hunter gave us some intel on an old cellar hole. It was a beauty, everything you could ask for, foundation, the old well, the surrounding retaining walls and stone wall boundaries..... we couldn't find a dam thing though. The last 4 cellar holes I've swung I have nothing to show for it... lot of driving, research, mosquitoes, ticks, and ivy and no goodies. But that's the nature of the business. This weekend we are traveling 300 miles round trip to an early 1800's house/farm it's never been swung before so I expect to find some goodies to make up for the drought.
