After lurking around reading posts for a couple of weeks about beginning affordable detectors, I ordered a Fisher F2 3 coil kit from Bart @ big boys hobbies, shipped lightning fast and had in 3 days.my first week with the f2 totals are as follows: 9 qtrs, 1 nickel, 9 dimes, 87 zinc lincolns, 8 wheaties (oldest 1910), A 1907 indian head , a toostie toy , ship , girl scout pendent from the 40's or 50's, I think im HOOKED! heres a pic of my indian:

Welcome and GREAT work! I assume this is your first experience with this addiction? If so YES you are hooked! Nice job on the zincs...you stay in them and the surrounding lower or higher signals for a big gold class ring someday! I must say you have had a very good week!

Congratulations! That's a mighty fine looking IH.
After cleaning and drying, I like to put a little WD40 in mine. I feel it helps bring out the highlights and assists in there preservation.

The clad pays for batteries and coffee and new detectors and accessories. In actuality clad sometimes pays for vacations.

Love my F2!
Bought it in Sept 2010 and I learned to use it pretty good.
I rotate it with 2 others, but it has still found me over $500 in clad, over $1500 in jewelry including that diamond ring you see in my avatar, and a ton of other great stuff.

Once you are a member for 30 days send me a PM and I can link you to a bunch of tips and advice on how to use it if you are interested..
