WTG coenwolf,

Those are serious finds there, Old beauties too.

Congrats,
Paul (Ca)

These are some of my finds my 1st time out with my T2. I had only taken it out for about 45 min. a couple of times before we hit a possible sw camp site, just to try and get a custom to it. We didn't find that much, but we didn't leave empty handed. I soon realized that the T2 is going to be one nice machine, maybe not for a trashy area for coin hunting, but ideal for relics. I guess my Explorer XS is going to have to be my back up. I'll try the T2 at the beach next weekend to see how works there. Nice find on your 1st time out, happy hunting.

Thanks for asking Mike, I

and get the planks as close as possible to each other before you set them. Also put one plank on one side of the hull then the other as not to cause the keel to warp on you.

She will be a real beaut when finished.

building this at the moment 54 inchs long 55 inchs deck to masthead ,its loosely based on J class americas cup cutter vigilant .looks a hell of a lot different now ,decking and cabin completed one sail rigged so far ,going to cut the mainsail later today ,then its a test sail to see how she goes before finishing

that pic was about a month ago its a lot more advanced now .masts and spars are all tapered carbon fibre to keep topside weight down .its just trying to find the time as well as detect

And a big ship at that :) Nice work coenwolf, Please keep us posted with the test sail or when it's completed. She's a knockout for sure both sail or display.

WTG!

Thnaks for the tips, I'll plank the hull from one side to the other which makes sense too as to not warp the keel and keep the planking nice and tight.

I'll start again tonight, Great hobby to have next to metal detecting :)

Thanks again and looking forward to seeing the next ship you're going to build, The Constitution "the Old Ironside" is a beauty and famus ship.
