I am so excited!! Pulled my first wheat penny 1926S from the ground. Was about 5inches down and showed a bouncing 20 on the display. This xterra is def growing on me.

Much more exciting than the other modern 42cents I pulled and assorted trash.

Thx for reading and HH all!!

Im still excited after 6 months with the 705!.
Everytime I go out with my X-terra I know it will be finds...
Have been thinking to upgrade to an E-trac or a XP-Deus,but now I changed my mind. Why should I changed to a heavier, much more expensive MD.
Terra with its only 4 aa batteries that last forever is great in my book. Also how easy it is to set up the detector. The great finds talk for it self.

My favorite coil is the 15"DD Coiltek next after the 10.5DD at 7.5.
So I will keep it and try to get the most out of it.Really learn how it works in different conditions.

MerryXmas hunting to you all.

I don't have a recent coin book but must be worth a decent penny

Good find. According to the 2010 Yeoman's Red Book, a circulated 1926 S, depending on the condition, can be worth anywhere from a low of $6 to nearly $75. You're off to a nice start! HH Randy

Good job on the wheatie. I pulled my first last month in my own front yard. Then just pulled another one the other day in the front yard. I notice my 705 with the with the hf dd coil is a copper penny( pre 82) magnet. First silver was a 40% silver quater. Didn't even realize it until I counted my change.
