Fisher 11" DD coil for Teknetics Greek Series

Hey all,

I was looking around this morning and noticed that the Fisher 11" DD coil is a lot cheaper than the one specifically marketed for the Teknetics Greek series. They appear to be almost identical and the Fisher version has either a push-in connector, or a scew-in connection model. The latter seems like it might work for the Greek series, but I am not sure.

Someone posted a few weeks ago that the Fisher 4" coil will work on a Teknetics detector, so I suspect this one might as well.

Thoughts?

People have sometimes stuck "non-Greek" searchcoils on Tek "Greeks" and gotten 'em to beep, but even if they beep they're a mismatch and will not work properly.

Thanks for the insight Dave. I will defintely stick with your advice and pony up a little bit extra for the proper coil. Would hate to have it underperform (or not perform at all) based on a product mismatch.
