Fisher and Canadian clad ? Eh

cladcanada

Member
I would like to get a f series fisher soon. Our clad is basically plated steel washers . I only hunt our clad and jewelry. Not old silver or relics.

Any recommendations on a fisher?

Hmmm. I only hunt clad and jewelry too! that said, your coins are somewhat tough for a guy who is listening to the high ping of a dime or Q, or the grunt of a nickel...especially tought would be a Canadian multidenom spill...Canadian copper pennies sure stop a guy cold, since they are higher than our dimes or copper pennys, very loud and crisp, making a fellow think he got silver...

I do find Canadian clad with the F70 using DP tones, based upon the tonal signature of the target...not sure if this is the best rig out there for this, but its gotta be in the top 5 for a modern coin/jewelry hunter just on account of the DP tones..and, its fast and light...etc. etc. etc...

Canada dropped pennies.......I'll be digging them for many years to come

Yeah, I know, too bad...they are really pretty pennies with a very nice tone..I'm sure its a special skill to hunt Canadian clad...sure would like to see some 2dollar coins down here, or a lot more 1dollar ones...we are lucky to find maybe 20 1dollar coins per season, and thats with hard clad hunting...so a guy down here has to hit Q's and D's...a decent clad average down here is @8cents/coin..
Mud.

Funny I found a US one dollar coin in a park, same size as our 1$ coin way up here !

2$ coins are great ,I had found a coin spill the other day four coins and almost 5$

Sure would like to find a fisher machine to hunt with

id be interested to know also how the f70 does on our clad coins and the newer steel core ones.i m thinkin that i might upgrade to the f70. i know my bh discovery 3300 hit steel coins with a high tone. conversely it hits steel washers also with a high tone. it really likes round things lol cheers
