Fisher F-70 Depth Yes? Or Depth No?

I've read lots and lots of posts on the F70 and some claim barely 5 or 6 inches max depth while others claim 8-12 inches depth on coin size targets.Is it just average or are they setting it up correctly? Also can it handle hot ground? Some say yes..some say No!

All depends on soil, EMI, moisture content and fill in the numerous blanks here, as do all machines.
 
My buddy Paul aka DigginDeepSouthLA uses it and loves it for relic hunting. He's made some awesome finds over the last few months using the F70. You can search his name thru youtube to see it in action via his metal detecting videos. Its an impressive machine. CCH.
