Hello fellow detectorist's my question is i own a f-70 and i have the stock concentric coil on the unit now but would like too put a DD coil on it i have always used the SEF 12X10 butterfly coil on most units i have owned and it always was way better in detection and depth but this coil choice would add weight too the detector and most likely mess up the balance ect what would you recomend from your own experiences? Here are a few finds so far.so far 1804 half cent,1865 indian head cent, several wheats,4 mercury dimes 1923,2-26's,27 and a tootsie "fiat" car and many more things these are from 2 hunts and searching around my 1900's home. Thanks for looking.

I have the small round Fisher DD sniper and for heavy trash or heavy iron sites it works fantastically well.
Surprisingly deep too.
Just as deep if not deeper than the standard coil.
I also have the big Fisher F75 DD.
The weight is no issue for me in the slightest.
An amazing coil...turn the sense down below 40 and that scanning field seems to shrink and tighten and sharpen into a laser and still get great depth.
I have waded into heavy trash doing this and plucked out the goodies easily.
On regular settings this thing goes deep.
Turn the gain up some and bring a shovel.
In good soil I have acquired and dug targets with great audio and decent screen info ID's in the 10-12" range regularly, one target was at a measured 15".

I still use the elliptical in some situations too.
Love using all my coils.

I am very new to the f70 but judging by that half cent you are doing great with the concentric coil. I am blown away with the 11dd on the f70 very low sens and cuts through trash very well. No problem turning it down and getting deeper coins. But like i said I am a complete newb to the f70

Thats the coil i was thinking jimmy the 11dd or the 12x10 SEF butterfy coil but the SEF is heavy but i have had the best of luck with it in the past so im thinking the 11dd is the way too go.

I haven't tried any other brands of coils yet. I would like to give one a spin but for now I have both the stock and 11dd for my f70 and the stock, 11dd and 5dd for my f5. And I think learning this f70 will keep e satisfied for a while. I had a hard time deciding on a new machine. I am very happy with my choice so far.
