Fisher F5 new faceplate?

Hello everyone i'm new, i'm registered just to ask a question about Fisher F5
someone know where buy a new Faceplate for my F5?

I hope "Sven" can read this post, because i read your thread:

Whre i can see more pictures of the fisher F5 inside and elettronics? i really need it.
(i write to Sven here caus i don't see any PM function and i don't want to write on an old thread)

Hey Max....Why do you need a new faceplate?..Are you modifying an F5?

Anyway, ..somebody might step up and let you know where to get one...I am curious...anybody that follows Sven's posts knows he is a premier tinkerer and always working on something cool...what are you up to?

You got me , i have in mind some changes...
But before proceeding, i have to be sure i can replace some parts, and figure out if my inside changes are achievable or not.

It's a custom part only available from the factory. Normally supplied only to those very few people in the distribution chain authorized to do repairs. Fisher isn't in the business of trying to support tinkerers and the problems they run into when the tinkering went wrong.

It's possible that the factory may either sell you one or mail you one for free, just for good humor. But there won't be any technical assistance.

I asked my Fisher distributor, days ago, they told me that hardly can have new one faceplate.

I waited the end of the warranty, to proceed with the changes, i don't need assistance, if i make mess it will be my responsibility
If i don't find an original one, at worst, i will create a new one that will be printed by a friend.

Cool! In any case, you should hang out here and show us what idea you are working on or post some pics of the treasures you are finding with your rig...this is one interesting sport with some very talented people! Stay in touch, you never know..

I have created a 3D printer from scrap scanner's and old other stuff, now i want to upgrande it to 300x600 and than...print few mods for my FF5
Then proceed with the addition of side illuminators for LCD screen (80s portable console Style)
this is because often, i hunt in very dark wooded areas, and hardly read the display.
