Fisher f70

Hey guys, I'm sure this is a repeat, but can anyone give me there opinion on the Fisher F 70? I live in north Alabama and do relic and coin hunting mostly! I have an f5 which I'm thinking my son will get. No one in this area carry's fisher , so I can't hold it or play with it to see balance ,build quality , weight or software! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated !!

The Fisher F70 detector is a fine detector. However they are not known to be as effective in highly mineralized soil like you may have in Alabama. This is true with most Fisher F series detectors.

we have some tough soil here on the west coast i can get around 6 inches with the f70. there light and well balanced awsome battery life ,so if your hunting places where most of targets are six inches or less its a awsome machine hh

In mild Ohio soil depth isn't an issue - it goes plenty deep, especially in SL mode. I've tried many other machines, both in my past and those from friends and club members, and still prefer my F70.

I live in southern middle Tennessee bought my f70 a couple months ago the ground here is pretty harsh but I have found several coins at about the six inch depth go ahead and buy the 70 you want regret it

Yep..F70 is a sleeper...sort of like a stock pickup with a hemi under the hood! Now I'm out the door and down the road, searching for silver and gunnin' for gold!

It should be a great detector. You may pick up a gold nugget or two in the gold bearing areas of Al.. good luck and happy detecting

I. Live in central Alabama and we have tough soil I'm looking at the f70 also I also have sons that detective we need to do a hunt sometime. jmann2543@att.net
