Five hours at the beach

Hi all,
First time out in two weeks, getting over an ailment great to feel the sand between the toes again, found around
$50nz and a mixture of bits and pieces including a blank but live 44 cal bullet,One toe ring and half a mobile
phone.
Is there anyone else out there who hunts the wet salt sand,I would like to upgrade coils is there one that is better
than another,I currently have the stock 9" and 10"x5"DD 18.75khz both work fine but just curious as to weather a different
frequency would be better.....thanks jim

The 18.75 is the ticket but I would go for the 10.5 DD myself. I use another model of MD that is 19khz and it hits the gold in the wet sand just fine.

Good haul. I am so ready for the snow and ice to leave... Congrats!

Jim, the 18.75 kHz 10"x5" DD is a geat coil to use at the beach, but it is not waterproof, so you have to be careful in wet sand that you dont get it wet. I've had success in wet and dry sand with the 10.5" 7.5 kHz DD...and it covers the ground well...an alternative is the 6" 18.75kHz DD coil, which is waterproof, or if you are happy to go mainly after silver, the 3kHz 9" concentric coil....the 9" concentric coils are waterproof. That's a nice haul of stuff there, by the way. HH

Yassi didnt reach us just a bit of a tailend blow, the swells altered the beach a bit which is good for detecting,
I am using a 705 and love it,thanks for the replys looks like the 10.5 DD is the go.........thanks jim
