My Fisher has 2 drop in packs of 4 batteries each. Once in a while the electricity stops - I rap it and it starts. This only happens like once per 4-5 trips. However, I noticed that I couldnt keep a long charge - I checked them and one was dead. I replaced it and no power at all. I tried everything imagineable but no power.
But - the last thing before I sent it back to the factory I looked in the bottom of the 2 places where the battery packs fit and there are 2 tabs on the bottom that the posts hit for contact. I took my wife's crocheting needle - needed a long shank plus a hook - and pulled all 4 of them up. Put the batteries back in and Viola! back in business. Something to remember one day yours might quit, Steve in so az
