Fixed switch problem

really there was no switch problem it was just the way I chest mounted it. when the waves would hit me and bounce me around the switch would get hit and turn off. I made a belt and harness setup so now I hip mount it it works great. I really like and enjoy this machine it works great. In the last 2 months I've found 15 gold rings, 2 nice water resistance watches, ray ban, and serengeti sunglasses a ton of other stuff and 2 eels. The eel I found yesterday was about 2 feet long. this little boy was watching me dig and when he seen the eel he got all excited and picked it up and ran to show it to his mother. she wasn't as excited about that eel as he was, but I got a laugh out of it. Anyway great machine Eric. Now if you could make a waterproof vacum cleaner I'd probably buy one.

I haven't done any in the drink beach detecting, but a dredgy sort of vacuum cleaner run off nicads to suck up and separate your targets from the the semi liquid sand would be feasable in conjunction with a search coil with a hole in the middle. Lets all think about it.Maybe dumb idea,I haven't been in the drink or used a sand scoop.

Not a dumb idea at all, Allan. How about a high pressure water nozzle to liquify the sand, and a vacuum to suck it up and blow it into a basket? Build it into a backpack affair. The handle made of concentric pipes like coax: pressure in the middle pipe, vacuum return between the center pipe and the outter shell. The nozzle would be in the center of a 10" cone shaped shield, so we wouldn't lose the target. Needn't be too big, but might require a leafblower motor (I hate those things).

I've seen some nice fat blue plastic ones. Could even put a search coil around the bottom, and switch over to it like a pinpointer.Suck it out and squirt it into a sieve. Feasible?
