Flat button and bell?

We had a bomb threat at work. By law we had to clear the area and miss a days work. Bummer:rofl:

So I went MD'ing a place across form my work place. I try to make the best of a bad situation.

It is a real trash pit. I mean real. It is an old junkyard. The porch area was the only place that I was able to MD. Outside that area you can't even GB there is so much metal in the ground.

My wife says it is a cow bell. I thought it way a salt shaker at first, but it didn't have a bottom. What do you think it is? It seems to have a little gold plating on it.

My comment was, why all the holes on top?

I found this flat button that seems to say,"Double" on one side and maybe ,"Gilt" on the other. Anyway, I can't ID it. Can you?

I found this one a month ago two ft. away and never could ID it. I think it says,"Rich" on one side, but can't read the other side.

Pictures of the other sides of the buttons? Nice finding flat buttons. Can still see the little bit of of that double gilding in the stars, the "oubl" letters and the circular ridge on the one button.

I didn't think it was worth taking a picture of, it is just a flat surface.
