Flat Line Barrel System Part

Hi All ! :biggrin:

Can anyone identify the part shown in the picture attached ?

I found it in a storage shed shortly after moving to my current residence.

After doing a little research on the Internet, I'm guessing it was meant to be pushed into the barrel of a paint ball gun and hung on a peg board hook for store display or at an owner's home.

PS: I realized after posting that the attached item isn't involved with metal detecting; my apologies to the Moderator. If you feel the need to remove this post, I had it coming ! ;)
