Florida Beaches

My wife and I are going to go to Florida for our 25th wedding anniversary and want to metal detect some beaches. We have a whole week we are driving down from South Carolina, my questions are these. Is there any beaches that are not allowed to be hunted, what beaches usually produce, is it better to drive to the gulf coast side any tips or information will be greatly appreciated. I am just getting my wife into this hobby after so many years of going by myself its nice to have her with me.

Thanks guys.]

no hunting in the water at state parks , unless you are looking for a lost item ,then thy have to let you hunt for it! hh ,watch a christmas story the movie , scoop dog crawls under the fence when ralphie shoots the roveing muraders.hh to all and too all a good night.:usaflag:

Well I can only tell you about my area and that it has been renourished (they pumped in new sand). Unfortunately it has effectively killed the beach hunting from Lido to Anna Maria Island. Regardless Happy Anniversary! and wherever you go I hope you find some nice treasures together!

There is and always will be plenty of gold and treasure to be found on the beaches of Florida. On most Florida beaches you are allowed to metal detect and I have never found a beach that did not produce something to take home, just pick a coastline and go for it. From one happily married man to another, congratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary.
