Florida Beaches

My wife and I are going to go to Florida for our 25th wedding anniversary and want to metal detect some beaches. We have a whole week we are driving down from South Carolina, my questions are these. Is there any beaches that are not allowed to be hunted, what beaches usually produce, is it better to drive to the gulf coast side any tips or information will be greatly appreciated. I am just getting my wife into this hobby after so many years of going by myself its nice to have her with me.

Thanks guys.]

If you have not left yet, I beleave all Fla. public beaches are open to detecting. Find a popular one at low tide and enjoy.:detecting: Dale

I believe he is right. I had no problems when i was there with the Minelab E-Trac on the beach at Destin. Always best to check with locals or the police department first just to be sure.

Most all of the public beaches are fine...the beaches at state and federal parks offer the most problems, such as Canaveral National Sea Shore on the
East Coast. Good Luck!
