I bought the Sov elite from Buckeye Brad today and my butt hurts. Anyway, I hunted 3 detectors today. The CZ-3D, Explorer and the Sov Elite. I was using FODs headphones and they worked great on all the detectors!
The tones were as good as my Black Widow's. I didn't find anything deep today and only one silver coin 41 merc. I found quite a bit of clad. All the coins were shallow. I will give a better report in a few days, after I'm able to test it longer.
P.S. Rick (ND) you will love these phones with your hearing problems.

And the noise blocking is great.
They are too loud for me, even with the volume set to minimum.
Reminds me of the phones I usually use on the Sov before I added a 1K resistor to tone them down a little.

Thats good to hear you are back detecting Terry and hope you do well.
I would have like to try a set of FOD headphones too to see if they are any better than the Timberwolfs i use on my Sovereign as they are the loudest I have found. I like the SunRay Pros and the Troy Pros Brad told me about too, but the volume of the Timberwolfs seem to be the best I have found.

could you please edit the first sentence of your post? I think it would sound a lot less suspicious if you would have said something like "I bought an Elite from BuckeyeBrad and after hunting several hours, my butt is dragging since I haven't hunted since last fall." <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Ya just can't be too careful on how you word things nowadays! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
