Well I took the opportunity to give them a try today.I set aside my trusty GG and hunted a farm field.First thing that I noticed was that they do block out a lot of exterior noise WAY BETTER than my GG"S.For my hearing I turned my volume to the max and it didnt blast my ears and hunted that way for 4 hours. The sounds are more pronounced and when you hit a copper or silver you will know it for sure.Ive tried to find some deep iron that at times can sound as a good target(to see if the tone would be different) but wasnt able to find any deep junk. When you hit large shallow iron your ears wont take a beating(like a cheap $20.00 set of phone would)must have a limiter switch built within or some other gizmo on the insides.LOL.AS far as the weight of the cord it isnt an issue until you switch to your other phones then you will notice the slight diffrence so if you were to use these phones for a period of time the cord isnt really a problem but it is a bit too long.To make them a bit more comfy the head band should be a little more long cause once you have a hat on its a tight fit.I will be trying them again at another spot where I now there may be deeper coins and lots of surface trash to give it another good workout. The chrome metal rods slide up and down "inside the plastic legs" where they mount to the side of the ear cups <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> There's at least an inch or two of adjustment on each side.
Try it
