I thought y'all might like to meet our newest family member. This is our 2 yrs old Basset that we rescued from the local animal shelter. She had a nasty double eye infection when we got her, but seven days later, it is almost cleared. She was already a "Petunia" and knew her name, so Loren decided to add Dandelion...lol. She is a very good girl and was already housetrained and spayed. Now that she can see again, she is becoming more playful all the time.

I'm sure Petunia with bring Loren a lot of joy over the years. I think it's important for children to have pets as they grow and experience life. God bless you all.

Beautiful dog you have and it is wonderful that you saved Petunia. Glad she has a loving place to call home. Best things about animals, they are loyal, never talk back and love their master / family unconditionally.

Thanks guys! We sure do love our animals round here! If we had the room and the finances to take care of them, there's no telling how many animals we would have.
