I got my 705 on June 4th. Only been able to get out a couple of times, so I am still learning this machine. I am by no means new to detecting, but new to ML and an ID machine. This morninig I took the 705 to an open field that once held several houses. It is in an area that has been getting bought up by the state for a new freeway. This has been happening now for 4-5 years and the area has been just pounded to death.
There is so much trash in these spots that it is almost impossible to find a clean spot for ground balancing, signals every 4 or 5 inches.
When you get your detector ste up correctly, do not get discouraged in these areas. Go slow and listen for the good repeatable signals in the trash.
I didnt find silver...today, but I will take wheats and indian heads over zincs any day. I know there are more barbers here. The IH is very crisp with full Liberty in the head band.
Good luck and happy hunting.
