General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Minelab Excalibur II - Lightly used, coil tags still easily readable, no corrosion that I can see, hardly a scratch on the coil cover!
- Newly Servied at Minelab - see description/paperwork

- Dive (short) & Long lower shafts (one set of washers)

I wanted a water/dive rig so I went for the best. Thought I had found a good deal but found a crack in the control pod and the battery would not hold a charge.
In Jan 2017 I bought a new rechargeable battery from Windy City Metal detectors put one full charge on it and did some air tests. The same day I found the crack in the pod near one knob so I sent the pod, coil & headphones into Kellyco for repair, see invoice.

This is essentially a new rig, minus the warranty and a few scratches on the coil cover and shaft.
I'm guessing Kellyco covers the repairs for a period of time which means since they replaced the pod & o-rings the expensive stuff is covered.

Why am I selling: While it was off getting repaired I bought a full set-up XP Deus and since I won't be seeing saltwater very often I decided to sell the Excal.

$950 plus actual shipping & insurance (approx $58 to East Coast)

I'd like to sell it to a member here but short of that I'd like some feedback.
Is it marked to high?
Is it folks already have their summer water rig?
Is it folks have lost confidence in Minelab?

I'm not going to give it away but I'm open to offers.
 
I think the price is fair for the condition and the market is a little soft lately.... but everyone likes a bargain

If I did a great deal of deep water hunting, I would buy it but the ctx works for me now

Somebody will want it
 
I think it's a fair price without the straight shaft. Factor it in and it's a great deal. If I didn't already have two I'd buy it.
